Dr. George Seiler
Managing Veterinarian

Dr. George Seiler grew up in LaVale, MD and is a 1978 graduate of West Virginia University, cum laude. Dr. Seiler attended Auburn University. He earned his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Florida in 1983. He founded the West Virginia Veterinary Medical Foundation in 2003. As an arm of the West Virginia Veterinary Medical Association, this non profit organization strives to benefit the health of animals and people throughout the state through education and scholarship.

In 2004, Dr. Seiler was honored as West Virginia Veterinarian of the Year by the West Virginia Veterinary Medical Association. He currently serves as chairman for the Veterinary Awareness Committee for the West Virginia Veterinary Medical Association, of which he is also President-Elect. He is also a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the American Animal Hospital Association, the Florida Veterinary Medical Association, and the D.C. Academy of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Seiler is an adjunct professor at West Virginia University College of Agriculture, Forestry, and Nutritional Sciences and the College of Pharmacy. He instructs two classes for the Pre-Veterinary students at West Virginia University. He is active with the West Virginia University Davis- Michael Pre-Veterinary Scholars Program and serves on their Oversite Committee. In 2010 Dr Seiler established the annual West Virginia Veterinary Career Day sponsored by the West Virginia Veterinary Medical Association and the West Virginia University Davis-Michael Scholars Program. This event informs high school and college students about what is needed to obtain a career in veterinary medicine. He enjoys fishing, photography, traveling and WVU sports. Go 'eers!!

Dr. Melinda Thomas-Deal at Morgantown Animal Hospital

Dr. Melinda Thomas-Deal
Associate Veterinarian

Dr. Melinda Thomas-Deal is a 2002 graduate from West Virginia University with a Bachelor's of Science in Animal and Veterinary Sciences. Dr. Thomas-Deal is a native of Bruceton Mills. She received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Auburn University in 2006. She resides on a small farm in Hazelton, WV with her husband Ronnie, son Rick, and animals. She loves to play softball, ride horses, raise cattle, and farm.

Associate Veterinarian

Dr. Shannon Wilfong grew up in Clarksburg, WV. She first began her education at Potomac State University. She was President of the Equestrian Club, Vice President of the Agriculture and Forestry Club and a member of the Honor Society. It was here that she received an Associate's of Arts in Animal Sciences. She then transferred to West Virginia University where she graduated with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Animal Sciences, cum laude. Dr. Wilfong was awarded her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine degree in 2010 from Tuskegee University's School of Veterinary Medicine, cum laude. She and her husband have two dogs, Leila and Moe. In her spare time, Dr. Wilfong enjoys visiting the family farm, spending time with friends and family, biking, photography, traveling and playing outdoors with her dogs.

Dr. Jenny Wilson at Morgantown Animal Hospital

Dr. Jenny Wilson
Associate Veterinarian

Dr. Jenny Wilson is a Morgantown native. She attended West Virginia University obtaining a B.S. in Animal and Nutritional Science, cum laude. While at WVU she was the first female Athletic Council member in the Student Governors Association and a Davis Michaels Pre-Veterinary Scholar. She also competed at Quarter Horse shows and was a member of the WVU Women’s Rugby team. Upon graduation from WVU, she moved to New Zealand to attend veterinary school at Massey University. During her time abroad, she was the president of the Massey Equestrian Club, the assistant coach for a Special Olympics Riding Team, and a member of New Zealand Land Search and Rescue. Dr. Wilson graduated from Massey in 2013 and spent a year working at a busy mixed animal practice. While overseas, she met her husband, and they now live in Morgantown with their dog, Slaton. In her free time, Dr. Wilson can be found riding her horse Malago, spoiling Slaton, volunteering with the Mountaineer Area Rescue Group, and spending time with her family and friends.
