Dr. Shannon Wilfong grew up in Clarksburg, WV. She first began her education at Potomac State University. She was President of the Equestrian Club, Vice President of the Agriculture and Forestry Club and a member of the Honor Society. It was here that she received an Associate's of Arts in Animal Sciences. She then transferred to West Virginia University where she graduated with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Animal Sciences, cum laude. Dr. Wilfong was awarded her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine degree in 2010 from Tuskegee University's School of Veterinary Medicine, cum laude. She and her husband have a son, are expecting a second son, and have a dog, Leila. In her spare time she likes to spend time with her family, exercising, traveling and photography.
